WordPress Form Notifications Guide

Form notifications should deliver the right submission details to the right people without exposing sensitive information or relying on fragile defaults.

Check WPForms Plans

Choose recipients deliberately

Send notifications to monitored mailboxes or systems, not abandoned admin addresses. Route by form choice when different teams own different requests.

Use sensible reply-to behavior

Configure reply-to so staff can respond to the submitter where appropriate, while keeping sender settings compatible with your email delivery setup.

Limit sensitive data

Do not email sensitive information unnecessarily. Email is often the wrong place for confidential uploads or private account data.

Test deliverability

Submit real tests to multiple destinations and monitor whether messages reach inboxes. For important forms, use a reliable transactional email setup rather than trusting default server mail.
